Yamaha RX-V657, HTR-5860 or Denon AVR 1905. Any one know which is a better unit? All for the same price. All opinions welcome. :)
Thanks,
FCF

The three are so close, it would be a toss up. Some say the Yamaha's are better for HT. The Denon may be preferred for a more flat response. The 5860's are sold by mass merchants, while the 657 are more of a dealer type unit. My pick - 657.

Make sure the one you get will meet your needs and is flexible to support your near term needs for inputs and software source.

the yammy would make a good starter receiver, from what ppl say if you ever feel the need for more power it also makes a great pre/pro

I would also look at the harman kardon 235. look on ebay harman is selling refrubs

there for great prices with the same waranty as new and marantz and denon are selling on ubid too. great buys there too. maybe you can move up to a little higher model doing that.
