Yamaha NS8HX

Wondering what your comments are on these speakers.

I can also get the NS2HX for surrounds, all for a good price.

Comes in solid Canadian Spruce finish.

Just want some feedback before I make up my mind and buy them so that I can try them out at home.

Ahhhh forget it.

I just bought the blasted things. Too great a deal to pass up. I purchased a pair of NS-8HX floor standing speaker, one NS-C7HX centre, and two pairs of NS-2HX for the surrounds.

Please Help!!!

I just finished unpacking the NS-8HK's. Take a look at the pictures. The surround material on two of the woofers is dented in. Is this bad? Should I be worried?

Need to buy a few more cables so that I can do an A/B comparison between these and my Klipsch. The NS-2HK's (surrounds) are a little too bright for me. The high frequencies are really prominent. But it plays loud, and has decent bass when pushed. Still lots of playing involved.

Thanks.

if it's dented in.. then just use some tape, tape the dent, and pull it out so it's not dented anymore.

Did you try moving the woofer to see if it will un-dent?

I've gently nuged the woofer, and the surround material. No luck. I thinks it's been like that for a while.

I'll try the tape. I just don't want to play with it too much in case I make it worse. Then I'm screwed.

I just want to know if it is a concern. Should I see about getting it replaced or is it okay to leave it like this? The past has tought me not to "cry wolf".
