Yamaha HTR-6130

Hey I have a Yamaha HTR-6130 and recently moved to a new place where having the 2 rear speakers will not work. Is it possible to have it set up with just the front 3 speakers and get decent sound? Should I look into getting a soundbar?

If it isn't a good option what would be a good alternative where you can only have speakers right around your tv?

My Thought

Any soundbars that I tried out just did not do surround sound well at all. Many of there surround performance [if I could call it performance at all] did not come anywhere near as close to the sound of an 'improperly' set up surround sound with actual surround sound speakers. I would bet that in your room, improperly placed rear surrounds would sound far better than any soundbar.
