I am selling my Yamaha HTR-5860 receiver which is comparable to the RX-V659 model. The origional packaging, manual, remote, and setup mic are included. This has been lightly used in my system for the last couple years, mostly used as a pre-pro with my Emotiva amp.

It is a great mid range receiver for a new system that doesn't require HDMI, a PC setup, a second HT system, or pre-pro. It has plenty of power and features including auto setup, PEQ, and format conversion from s-video and coposite to component. You can still take advantage of the latest audio formats on BluRay by using the multichannel anlog inputs.

See link below for manufacters specs:

I will try to post a couple pics tonight.

How about $200 shipped (paypal preferred) for a great receiver.

please help

Hello jcPanny,

I just bought this receiver from craigslist couple of days ago for $120 but it didn't have that Mic (ypao), I wished I would of waited a lil longer. But since you used this receiver you might be able to answer my questions.

1. Do I need that mic (YPAO) to my receiver to either 5.1? Can I do it manually?

2. On the display should it show all the speaker that are connected, cuz my right now it reads L & R. But I have all five speaker hooked up to it. :(

can you please help me?

Thanks in advance

Receiver setup

You don't need the mic, you can use the manual setup and an SPL meter. Pick one up at radio shack.
In the manual setup you have to specify which speakers you have. Set the mains, center, and surrounds to ON, and the surround back speakers to OFF. Also set the distance for each speaker and start with all speakers set to SMALL and an 80 Hz crossover.
