Hi,

Was wondering if someone had this receiver, as I am having a hard time setting up the center GEQ. Im not a serious audiophile, so i dont know what values will help me obtain the best sound, but i know what i have currently, isnt cutting it. The GEQ frequiences are:

100 Hz , 300 Hz, 1 kHz, 3 kHz, and 10kHz
Control range: -6 to 6 dB
Inital Settings: 0 dB for 5-band

If someone could tell me the ideal control range for each frequiency, or atleast approx, somewhere i can start with, it would be real helpful.

The ideal setting is where it sounds best to you in your room. You could just blindly tweak away until it sounds 'right' but really the only way to do it properly is use an SPL meter and test tones to plot the frequency response of your room. Then where there is large peak, notch that frequency (or near frequency) down a bit; likewise where there is a dip, notch it up a bit.
