Yamaha HTR 5250 + SACD Audio Quality

Hello again...

I have very recently set up a full surround audio system. I've used my existing Yamaha HTR 5250 receiver along with a really nice set of Polk speakers (2 main, center, 2 rear + subwoofer). I have been happy overall with the system while watching DVD's however I am extremely dissappointed in the sound while playing SACD's (I have a Sony SACD player as well). The sound is thin, full of echo and just lousy sounding. Playing a regular CD is much better (however the sound is too bottom heavy....not enough high end).

My question is this...is the Yamaha HTR 5250 will all of it's preset surround settings a good receiver to be using? It's just as important to me to have the best audio quality while listening to SACD/CD's as it is while watching a 5.1 DVD.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm growing more and more frustrated with each day...

Thanks,

JK
