You obviously didn't take into consideration the serious cosmetic flaws your Yamaha CX-2 has, which detracts from it's value significantly. An "audiophile" isn't going to want to pay $200 or even slightly less than that for a tattered old preamp. An audio nerd, like myself, would be the kind of buyer this piece would attract, but at a staggeringly lower price. I would picture myself being interested in a piece like that in the condition it's presently in for around $50 or so. I'm not telling this to be offensive, but you are wasting eBay fees by setting your sights too high. Put the starting bid really low, no reserve, and you might get a little jingle in your pocket, but it will only be a little.
Nice preamp, but a haggered one. It was a nice find if you got it for a really low price. I might suggest keeping it in case you need it for something, such as a testing preamp or secondary use.
