Hi I got a new Yamaha receiver not too long ago and I am running for powered subwoofers in each corner of my room. I was just wondering on the settings menu about the settings for the subwoofer where the options are left and right or monaural x2 and front and rear... I'm thinking I should use the front and rear settings but it sounds better when I leave it on left and right. Any suggestions or advice? Also what is the monaural x2 settings? Thanks in advance

I have two subs in opposite corners that I have set to front/rear. The rear in the back corner seems to have lower output, so I have to set its level higher in manual speaker setup. I have not tried the left/right setting

You probably should select monauralX2 and let YPAO does it thing to EQ all of them together. Other than that you can't lose by going with what sounds best to you.

How far is each sub from your listening position?

The two front left and right Subs are about 14 feet away and the two rear Subs in the back of the room are positioned on left and right Corners as well in between the couch and they are about seven feet away from the listening position. The room is a rectangle room with cathedral ceilings and is open to the house on one side but only half of the side. It's a bonus room or living room above the garage style room
