I have bought a Yamaha Surround Sound package at a Garage Sale, and I am having trouble setting them up. The AVC-30U is my main amp, and I am powering 4 speakers off that, and the DSP-E390 powers the surround sound runs my middle speaker only. I can't for the life of me figure this one out. The sound is tinny and awful, and I can't see how you can get a stereo sound through it. I understand the system isn't exactly new, however it is my new Surround System, and I have to learn to use it.
Does anybody have any tips onto how to setup the system? I currently have line out connections running from the AVC into the DSP, however it is hell bent on running the front speakers, and leaving the rear ones to its own devices. Also, the volume control on the other system, something else I can't understand.
It seems like a good quality system, but I need to understand how it works first.
Any help in the setup of my system is greatly appreciated.
