Over the last couple of years, I've pretty much avoided Yamaha receivers, but I saw the article here on Audioholics about the 667 which makes me want to take another look. I have just a few questions I'm hoping someone has answers:

-Does the 667 use the YPAO with multiple measuring points?
-YPAO in the past only reached down to about 63Hz. Does it now EQ the LFE channel?
-The 667 includes Adaptive DRC. Has anyone compared this to the comparable features of Audyssey?

I may of course have to simply buy the receiver to answer these questions :)

I can't answer the first two but I have DRC on my RX-V1800. I haven't compared it to a receiver with Audessy but I can tell you that it works very well. It works as a function of volume....meaning the lower the volume, the more it limits the the dynamic range and the louder the volume, the less it limits the dynamic range. I did notice that with it turned on, I don't get the same slam with my sub compared to when its turned off, even at higher volume levels.

Ran a google search on multipoint YPAO and found this about the 667 (1st edit since post)

(2nd edit) some answered you in AVSFORUM suggests you look at the Aventage800 instead.
