Yamaha 5960 (sbwr not working)

Picked up yamaha htr 5960 yesterday. After setting it up, the center and front speaker (JBL stadium) are working fine but my subwoofer (velodyne dps 10) isn't working. I've checked every connection and everything seems fine. This is my first time using Yamaha. Is there any setting or function that I'm not aware of?
Any help would be appreciated.

You've got the sub connected to the designated "Pre-Out Subwoofer" connection on the rear of the AVR and a "Y" adaptor cable to the Velodyne inputs, right? It won't work if you're connected to the "Multi Ch Input" subwoofer connection.

Welcome to the forum! If it's connected correctly, you do need to set it up to use the sub. I recommend that you run the YPAO auto setup routine, but alternatively you can go into the speaker settings (start on page 85 of the owner's manual) and set up your system to use the sub.
