Yamaha 5630 vs 5740

<font color='#000000'>I have been looking to replace my 12 year old Pioneer VSX5700 HT receiver with Yamaha's HTR5630 (2003) about $150 - or -  the new HTR5740 about $250.  Does anyone know if significant differences in the specs for each?  I would use 75% for music, and 25% for HT.  Are there extra inputs so I can hook up a preamp for turntable.  Any advice. Thanks  in advance.</font>
