Greetings All.

My wife and I are in the process of having a house built. We have some control over something and little control over others. The best we can do for pre-wiring is 6.1 plus S/W. Primarily because we can't do it ourself or have our own person do it - we're limited to who the builder has contracts with.

Given that, my wife has given me permssion to get a new home theater system. Our current one is 4 years old - still works great, but, hey - it's 4-years old. We'll move it into the master bedroom with my booze 501's and my smaller booze speakers.

Reading the various posts on here I've noted the following things:

1- there are no plans for a 3400 to replace the 3300
2- the 2400 is superior to the 2300
3- there is little discussion favoring either the 2400 or the 3300 over the other

The 3300 seems to be available in the $700 - $750 range although the local store has it for $1299 plus another 7.5% tax.

Which is the better unit - and why?

I've listened to both the 3300 and the 2300, but they didn't have the 2400 in yet.

Thanks. Input greatly appreciated.
