Hi all
I have just got the new Yamaha 3050 I have speakers that are 4 ohm its a 5.1 lay out but I just added some Goidenear 605 ceiling speakers do I leave the amp at 8 ohm ?

But aren't you supposed to warn him to not cranking the volume to dangerously high level so you don't get into trouble with UL/CSA etc.??

Ok thanks I will leave it at 8 ohm I do not have it cranked up as its our sitting room and I don't want to upset next door .but thanks for you input .i had the pioneer 87 Befor and had no problems with that but I never had the ceiling speakers in then .

Naaah, Yamaha's got that covered with their overly aggressive power limiting circuit..

I agree, but that's why I quoted UL/CSA etc and the. it's more about getting those approval logos/stickers.
