Yamaha 3050 question

OK, I know I am missing something really simple but....I just upgraded from a 15 year old receiver to a Yamaha 3050 and love it. One problem though. When I play in surround mode, everything is great. When I switch to two speaker mode when listening to music the subwoofer comes on but has no output. Any suggestion? Thanks

Set Bass out to "Both". That way the sub will work in 2CH if your mains are set to Large.

Also, if the 3050 did set your speakers to "Small", make sure it set your crossover high enough. 80 Hz is a good starting point and you can play around from there.

OK, as soon as I set my front speakers to small the subwoofer kicked it. Shouldn't I be able to use the sub with large or small speakers?

Probably. You need to go into your settings and look for "Sub+" or "Sub+ Mains", or something like that.
