I screwed up and somehow cleared the DTV button on my remote yesterday. I was programming my new HDtivo and must have hit a wrong button. Now I cant switch from other sources back to DTV. All the others work fine, but I have to manually make the change on the receiver.

Anyone know how I would reset this button? Im not having much luck with the instructions book.

What happens when you press dtv on remote? What does the little lcd readout display when you press dtv input? Go to page 67 and follow steps 1-7 just paying attention to the bold print/directions. Try using the default code which is 2000. I used 2001 if I remember correctly. This enables me to power on main unit without the zone a/b coming on. However you have to use remote for turning the unit on everytime thereafter versus turning it on via the units power button. Weird but true. You can call Yamaha toll free and they will walk you through if all else fails.

Thanks for the response. I was able to reset the button but only after having to reset the entire remote back to factory and starting from scratch. I was hoping I wouldnt have to do that. Thanks again.

Glad you got it worked out. Probably best to have reset to default and start over. You can undo a seperate function but you have to know what you are undoing. In your case you were not quite sure as something got pressed without you knowing exactly what. How much did you pay for your 2500? just curious.
