XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. reported that its subscriber count is on track with its own forecasts (350,000 by Q4 2002).
This is good news for those of us who want to see the technology flourish, expand, and become mainstream in the marketplace. While I'm not quite ready to dole out the monthly satellite fees involved, in addition to the high cost of hardware ownership, early adoption traditionally paves the way for a drastic drop in hardware costs.</font>
