XLR interconnects over DB25 cable?

I have a Mcintosh DB25 cable connecting my processor (Mcintosh MX135) and amp (Mcintosh MC207). I was wondering if I should switch to XLR interconnects? If so can anyone recommend a product.

If there is a long distance between the two or you live in an area with a lot of RF or EMI noise, then you may get slightly better performance with XLR. Blue Jean cable makes some reasonable priced cables that I use for a 12' run between my prepro and amp. I live in a very RF and EMI filled area though.
