This movie seems doomed though, kind of like the Exorcist Prequel - 2 directors walked and major cast changes before or during shooting, etc... We'll see. I thought the first one was pretty good, the second was OK.

I think there are enough hugh jackman girly fan clubs, xmen comic book nerdies (me included), and just plain sci-fi geekos for this movie to make it big.

I have a lot of old X-men comics from when I collected. Was the main thing I collected, and I liked the first movie. It doesn't follow the series well, but it still came across pretty well. Much better than Spidercrap, IMO.

With whatever they are using. Quicktime is the default, i guess, but I can't get either the regular or the HD side to work.

The regular just hangs up on a white screen and the HD side gives me some weird message that "Couldn't open file blah-blah because of a bad public movie atom was found in the movie."

I'm really pumped for X3, think it can be the best one. I'm also ready for Superman Returns, Bloodrayne, The Chronicles of Narnia, Cars, Aeon Flux, King Kong, Underworld: Evolution.....I think that's it for the next 6 months.

Well, the way she died in the 2nd movie definitely had nothing to do with the series, so I'll be curious as to how and why they bring her back. Can't tell you if she lives because they may continue not to follow the series....

I can't believe that anyone says that they liked the X-men movies!!! I collected the comics for years and though both movies were complete crap! The first one merely sucked, the second was pretty much unwatchable! Can they at least follow the comics a little bit?!?!? Gimme a break. Hugh Jackman has a great face for Wolverine, but that's about it. The only good casting in the movies has been Patrick Stewart.

I am not 100% positive on this - But I think most new 1080 and 720p trailers require Quicktime 7. I believe these trailers require the new codecs.
The new Quicktime codec is H.264, and I believe it only works in QT 7.
Maybe try doing a manual download.
Then a restart.

EDIT:: BTW, I personally HATE quicktime. But just to watch the trailers, I will use it just for that.
Then completely remove it from my system (including using reg edit - to get allllllll the crap out)

Patrick Stewart is definitely a great actor. Still have fond memories of his role as Captain Picard in Star trek the next generation.
