X2600H BT Audio Clip/Crunch/Cut

Greetings. I just installed the subject AVR with a simple 2.1 setup from RSL (CG3's & Speedwoofer 10s). I have noticed that on certain songs being played back from my iPhone over Bluetooth, at the same point in time during a low frequency bass sequence, the speakers make a crunch and then temporarily cut out until after the sequence passes. It is repeatable, and not random. I've isolated the issue by playing the songs through an older pair of speakers and the issue still occurs just the same. So, the RSL gear is not the problem. Incredible value that stuff - and sounds great! Next I tried to connect over HDMI input and the issue was resolved - those songs played through without any problem.

So, is this worth bringing to Denon's attention? Does anyone have similar experience when streaming their phones? I'm just as content to use a cable to connect but perhaps there's something I haven't thought of to resolve it. It does make it a little more convenient to stream.

First. Congratulations! I’m a fan of RSL, and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Spend lots of time with Joe. Excellent human being. I bought four c34e’s from them.

Second, I dislike BT audio in general, but I’ve used AirPlay for years. First with an airport express and then directly with my AVR. Haven’t had anything like you describe and love using AirPlay.
You might mention it to denon but not sure what they’d do about it.

Airplay resolved the wireless stream, thanks!
I do not like having all these home appliances connected to the internet, as a general rule because all these companies spend about exactly $0 of the product budget on cybersec, so forgot about enabling the AVR wifi. Plus, there was also a firmware update for Bluetooth in the queue.

Joe is really helpful. I'm going slow with the build and he's given great advice so far. I'm impressed that they are still running a family owned California business targeted at regular folks. It's nucking futs here.

They make a lightning to HDMI adapter.
