I am the first and only owner of this Behringer EP4000. It was used to drive a pair of 8ohm tower speakers in my living room at moderate volume levels (no parties). It has been babied. No pets. No smokers. I even use a 3M allergen AC filter in my home.
I performed the famous 'quiet fan mod'. I also reversed airflow to exhaust at the rear, and sealed some gaps between the fan duct and the heat sink with electrical tape. Lastly, I removed the dust filter at the front of the amp to improve airflow (though it will be included and shipped with the amp). EP4K runs cool all day long and fan is inaudible unless you are about 3 feet from the unit. Huge dynamic reserves.
I am using a new TV stand/equipment rack and it cannot support the weight of the amp. EP4K weighs about 40lbs. Amp is in mint condition.
