I am interested in purchasing some Polk speakers and some other gear for a new 7.1 surround sound home system I am building. I already have a 55" Plasma, a Klipsch Sub-12 Subwoofer, and a new Pioneer Elite SC-27.

I am located in Northern California. I would be willing to pick up within a couple hours drive or so from here, or consider shipping charges. Below is an idea of what I am looking for:

2 Polk LSi 25's
2 Polk LSi 9's
1 Polk LSi C
2 Polk LSi FX 1000's

Emotiva UPA-7 or XPA-5 + XPA2, USD-1
Monster Power HTS-5100 MKii

100+ Feet of nice Speaker Wire, 2 20-foot runs of "awesome" speaker wire.

Please reply with any equipment from the aforementioned list that you have for sale, including when at all possible a price, model #, approximate age of equipment, and any pictures. You may also send me a PM (please reply here first stating that you have done so) and I can provide an e-mail address and/or phone number to discuss possible equipment purchases.

Thanks for looking!

I am running my wire across the wall in a concealing strip and I am pressed for space to fit everything in. Im not sure if the wire you have (having 2 sets of wire in the jacket) will fit with the other wires I must run. I will keep it in mind tho! Thanks for your reply.

If you haven't already, Club Polk is probably a good place to look for LSis.

Thanks for the input and replies! Until I learn how to edit my origional message, here's a quick update:

Polk LSi25's - Purchased
Speaker Wire - Purchased

Add to the Amplifier WTB list of considerations:

Emotiva:
1) MPS-1, or MPS-2 - Yes, if I could find one that I could afford, I'd be set for life.
or
2) LPA-1 (gotta think about this one)

Other amps: Maybe consider a single 7-channel such as an Adcom. As soon as a combo or single amp presents itself that I can afford in my budget, its game on!

Congrats Audio, you've got a good game plan. However, scratch the LPA or UPA, they won't do the LSI series justice. Go for at least 200wpc minimum for the LSI series.

They will take every ounce of power & demand more. There is no point in spending all this money to not hear the full potential of your speakers.

Look at the XPA 5 from Emotiva. Yes it costs more, but it will be a one time charge that will stay with your system through all other upgrades.:)

Ok, well I guess I can still consider the LPA/UPA, but will focus on an XPA-5 and XPA-2 to finish the system.

What are your opinions on an MPS-2? At 4-ohm, its rated at 300X7. However, this beast that I found is 1 year old but is a whoping $1400!

(EDIT) I was able to negotiate the price for the MPS-2 down to $1250 shipped with the 5-year waranty transfered to me. So either I can buy a XPA-5 / XPA-2 combo for $1250ish, or just buy the MPS-2 at that price and be done with it. Also, though, aren't the Class H amps (MPS-2) mroe sought after than the Class A/B type? Any opinions? Is this a better deal/way to go than buying 2 seperate amps?

Thanks!

2 Polk LSi 9's
1 Polk LSi C
2 Polk LSi FX 1000's

1 Emotiva XPA-2.

Welp, the XPA-5 that I was going to buy fell through too. Im cursed or something /sigh.

Anyhow, im still in the market for a XPA-5 and XPA-2, or consider a MPS-1 or 2.

Without knowing how to edit my first message, I posted a reply a few posts down on the first page stating that I had purchased a pair of LSi25's. So unfortunately, I will not need a pair of LSi15's, but I do appreciate your post. Thanks and good luck with your sale!
