Despite tearing my house apart, I cannot for the life of me find my calibration mic for my Marantz SR5004. I believe any of the ACM1 models will work.

Thanks.

Just go to the audyssey website, get the tech support e-mail address and e-mail them. Should be around $40 for a new mic and you'll be guaranteed you'll get the proper mic. FYI, you can't mix and match the mics between brands, at least last I knew.

If this is true, I think I still have the mic from my Onkyo that you (collegeaudio) can have. Just pay shipping.
Wow! Never mind, I misread Fuzz's post.

The wrong microphone could probably be used for setting levels and delays, but it would be horrible for any automatic equalization.

Thanks for the input everyone.

The Marantz S 5004 and similar models ship with the ACM1H microphone. The ACM1HM also uses the same curves and are suitable replacements, per Marantz' customer support.

PSB, Onkyo also used this microphone for a large number of their receivers. Is there a serial number or model on your microphone? I could also look it up using the model of your receiver. Thats a generous offer that I would love to take you up on if its the correct microphone.

Thanks all.

There's no serial number on the mic. And, it's just the mic. no tri pod.
