Wondering if anyone would make me the ported kappa perfect enclosure that is supposed to be so great. Im not sure where the plans are on this site. If someone with experience would make this enclosure for me I will pay good money for it. Let me know.

I think Andrew still has one he may sell. If not, get the design from this forum and take it to a cablnet maker.

Your best bet is to contact a local cabinet maker. I'm sure if you are willing to pay them they might even assemble the entire thing. Your other option is a car audio place. Just make sure you tell them you want the cabinet built with 3/4" birch plywood. And you will probably need to give the cloth wrapped rock wool to them.

The materials for wood for 2 of these cost about 150. So one would be cost around 80 for the cabinet materials. If you want a simple DIY option I think Dayton has kits. You could easily make those better with a couple of mods.

It can be done. FYI you can get home depot to rip the plywood and then you will just need to router the whole and glue the materials together. It really is a simple build in my mind if you have the right tools. You can even get a jig to mount on your router to cut a perfect hole.

Depending on where you live I have the original kappa VQ enclosure laying around in Allen TX. It is unfinished as of now, but I would be willing to finish it and sell it. Aside from that you have gotten some good advice.

This is the build: http://www.avsoundlab.com/builds/kappa vq.htm

Please note the linked build is far more complicated than the 'Simple VQ' and uses higher quality materials such as solid oak bracing.

Maybe I should take a drive to college station lol. JK
Its closer to that than you think. Allen is probably 1.5 hours away ;). You actually live less than 30 minutes from PDawg and his Crusher sub .

Could someone give me a link t the kappa perfect sub on the net for sale? It says it should be powered by an EP2500 but the 12" kappa perfects i see handle 400 watts RMS. So how can it handle one of the EP2500? Would a 500 watt bash amp work instead?

Where is the information like the cuts of wood and everything? I am not finding info on how to build the enclosure on this link.

I plan on building it myself actually. It will be much easier to justify when I'm called out on the carpet.
