Worth paying a pro to setup my audio/video?

I'm moving today into an apartment/co-op that I own.

I had them pre-wire the back wall for my surrounds (Axiom "quad-polar" QS-8s) because the left wall is a window and there is no right wall. These speakers are quite forgiving apparently due to their dual-woofer / dual-tweeter nature. See below.

Now I fairly guessed the hight/distance apart they should be, so I may be completely off with nothing I can do about it at this point.

As for the mains/center, is it worh having a pro come in to set up my system with a SPL meter and such? To adjust for positioning and such?

if you want you can do it yourself, take the test below :

Are you excited about your HTS ?

Are you a DIY guy ?

If you have YES to both the Questions, you should be able to do it yourself otherwise call a Pro.

I agree, a SPL meter is under $50 and there are several DVD's out there that will walk you through the process. Plus it's fun :)

If you can't use the right end of a screwdriver, and you find it impossible to locate and engage the on/off button for the receiver, you might best be served with a professional installer.

Now, seriously, if you have an expensive and extensive system, then a little professional help could never hurt.

But if you don't, take MacManNM's advice, go grab a SPL meter from radio shack, open the users manual to your system components and enjoy the process.
