Saw that this morning, it's a refurb, but still a great deal. Not sure how good the player is, but for that price it's a steal for anyone looking to upgrade on the cheap.

there are almost always refurbed blu-rays around this price on ecost.com. theres a magnavox (oooo!) for 60, a sharp aquos for 90, etc etc. just search blu-ray on their website. they even have some sony's and panasonics for under 100.

If you have netflix, pretty good deal, same price as a Roku but you get a Blu-ray player as a bonus.

This is a good deal. The only problem with me on this particular model of Samsung BD player is it can only play DVD-R, NOT the DVD+R media disc. I recorded lots of my homemade videos (wedding, my son's baptism, 1st b-day, vacation, etc) on DVD+R.:( Otherwise I will buy 2 right now.

how can any modern disc player, especially a blu ray player not support the +r formats? That makes no sense whatsoever... thanks for pointing that out.

I'd rather spend the extra $40 at HHGREGG to get a brand new BDP-1600 which is a newer player and isn't a refurb.
