Frowm what I've seen you just get the HD programming that you subscribe to through your sattelite company, if you get local channels with your service, you should now be able to recieve them through ur sattelite in HD, as well as espn, hbo, etc that u subscribe to. As for the OTA HD broadcasts, youd have to check with them to find out what hardware youd be recieving
