Hi, as some of you may know, I am a very skilled and experienced Contra (tuba) player.

I participate in our Highschools Marching band, whom has qualified for OMEA State Marching Band Finals these past two years, and finished with straight ones and a Superior rating.

I felt like I really wanted to take my Contra playing skills after Highschool, and I love marching band (yah, I'm a band nerd, so what!)

Here is a video of Blast!, this specific video is comprised of a former Indiana Durm Corps.

(We actually played this song two years ago)

Here's a very good video of the Vanguard Cadets Corps.

I recently watched DCI, or Drum Core Internationals. It is a competition comprised of the Nations top Drum and Beugal Corps.

My friend and I had the crazy idea to try out for this prestigious organization.

And well, we're doing it.

We might make it, we might not, but I have dedicated these past few weeks entirely to practicing scales, acrticulations, breathing, and tone.

We will be trying out the Blue Coats Drm and Buegal Corps on Nov. 25-26.

I'm hopeing that this will be the start of a succesful musical career, cuase I'm not good at anything else but music and computers.

Wish us luck!

Best of luck to you. BTW, one of my college buddies played the sousaphone at Ohio State and was selected to dot the "i" at the Rose Bowl (the team lost, but he had a blast anyway). He still considers that to be one of the highlights, if not THE highlight, of his collegiate experience at OSU. Do you plan to play in college? If you do, I recommend you consider Ohio State and TBDBITL (The Best Damn Band In The Land), especialy considering your recent musical successes-they would look very good on your application. BTW, is OMEA stand for Ohio Music Education Assn? I had some success of my own in vocals with them waaaay back when I was in HS (last century!). It was apparently good enough to get me accepted to the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music symphonic choir, where I had the oportunity to sing tenor with the Cincinnati Symphony under Thomas Schippers performing Beethoven's 9th (singing tenor in German is a humbling experience, to say the least). I went on to become a touring musician, but I still consider the Cinti Symphony experience my personal musical highlight.
