i recently pre wired my home being built. i installed the speaker wire then shopped for an audio package. the audio package i choose has a sub with rca outputs connecting all the speakers. the sells man said they have a converter that converts rca jacks to speaker wire terminals, i looked all over and i can't find this. he said it was a box with the rca jacks on one side and binding terminals on the other that converts the two. anyone have a clue where i can find this?
Thanks
.....Comooney, welcome to Audioholics.com, and how does your audio package sound to you hooked-up with the rca's not using the wire in the walls?....since it was meant to be run with rca's, you might should hear it as such....if you use the wire in the walls, you'll be putting a speaker out in the room that is going to be hit with only a handful of watts, most probably, and that goes along with rca's to speakers.....
.....I suggest hooking up the system using the rca's, with all the speakers close to you, and decide if you want to not worry about the receipt's location....please try that and report back when you can....we care here, and we know Clint's watchin', haha....we work these counters buddy, haha.....
.....Comooney, you're going to have to convert both ends to use the wire in the walls....see what that system sounds like, and then give us a figure to work with on alternatives, please....bravo, you've got wire in the walls, you're moving in the right direction, imo....please get back, and thanks for the visit and post.....
.....edit....Comooney, while you still have that receipt....please report back with how much that system is setting you back....suggestions will probably be made to you for a QUALITY CLEAN system, for what could be the same money, meant to be run on speaker wires, with WATTS....Circuit City and Best Buy brands will probably be suggested.....
