Will I run into any problems if I go down and up instead of up then down with my wires? I just wanted to run them under the house under the crawl space in a pvc pipe or something. It seams easier and I will use a lot less wire and cable.
I will be running speaker wire, subwoofer cable and HDMI. Ive already purchased the speaker outlet plates(resembles a electrical outlet).

Thanks...

You certainly will. Your amp will have to overcome the pressure drop in the electrons, putting an additional strain on the power supply. :D Sorry, I'm in one of those moods.

Seriously, you should be just fine. My family has run wires through basements for years with no problems at all. I really wish that I had a basement to do that in my house, as I'm looking into running wires under my carpet.

Nice job getting the speaker plates. I still need to get some. Did you get the ones with the five-way binding posts? I think that those look really slick.

LOL! at first I was thinking oh crap I should have asked this before I ordered all the wires and cables...

As for the speaker plates, I did get a 5 way binding post with a sub input on it as well, I thought that was pretty sweet--I got it at Lowes for about 32 bucks...

thanks for the help

I am jealous! I would like to run a sub line under my carpet, but I have yet to find a shielded wire that is flat enough for that. Honestly, I haven't looked since last summer when I ordered all of my flat speaker wire, so maybe there's something out there that I can use.

Good luck and have fun running all of those. I bet that it looks great once you get it done.

Sounds good, thanks guys. One more question, Can I run everything in the same conduit? Or should I seperate the audio and video?

My two cents is that you'd want to run the speaker wires in a different conduit than the low-level subwoofer and HDMI cables to prevent interference. If the wires have good shielding, then it probably won't matter, though.
