Wireless Alternative to RCA

Has anyone ever used a product like THIS to transmit 2 channel stereo?

I moved my turntable and am trying to connect the receiver I am using as a phono-amp to my AVR for use through my speakers. An in-wall cable run would be very difficult so I was looking for a simple solution.

I am a little concerned about introducing a RF transmitter that near to my TT as I have had problems with RF interference in the past. But, if we presume that is not an issue, are there any reasons not to go this route?Any sound quality concerns? Any problems maintaining a signal?

Seriously, I have no life.

I would think there would be a huge downgrade of quality.

I figured as much. Time to order some CL2 RCA cables and figure out a plan for getting it in the wall.

just put the phono preamp as close to the TT as possible.

Are you suggesting the wireless transmitter is an OK option if the "phono preamp" is close to the TT? I put it in quotes because it is actually a vintage receiver I am basically using as a phono-preamp and headphone amp. That receiver is right next to the TT. The connection I am trying to make is from that receiver to my Denon AVR so I can also play over my speakers. A wire run would be difficult--and frankly I would risk cutting through existing electrical in the space i have to run a cable.

No, I'm just saying that whatever you do, either wireless or long interconnect, keep the phono preamp as close to the turntable as possible. You cannot, I repeat CAN NOT have long leads from a turntable to the phono preamp. A turntable cartridge doesn't output a strong enough signal to withstand a long interconnect.

Personally, I think you'll lose a lot of what one buys a turntable for by going wireless.

You can use that receiver as a phono preamp by connecting the turntable to it's "tape outs" to an "aux" input on your other whatever.

Appreciate it. That's how I have had it connected. Gave up on the simple idea this morning. I'll figure out how to get the cable in the wall.
