I'll shortly be moving to a new house which has multiple wired ceiling speakers across 7 rooms wired to a Cambridge CXA60 amp in a cupboard in the living room with a few other boxes including a Brennon JB7 (picture attached). I think you can switch music/radio between rooms. Set-up must be 5/6 years old now, current owners don't seem to understand it and I have no idea what the words I’ve written above mean!
Have been asked if I want to make an offer for the system, otherwise just the speakers (with wires into cupboard) will remain.
Would love to get the ceiling speakers working but I’m only going to use if I can control music etc through my phone to them wherever I am in the house (I’ve been used to a Sonos speaker in my flat). So question is should I buy what’s there (and what would seem a reasonable price) and adapt it somehow to work wirelessly through phone (and how), or decline and start from scratch (and is it possible)? Appreciate any advice!
