Hey there

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to keep wiring looking neat behind the AV RACK. Do most people use zip ties or something else?
I did see some braided sleeving but not sure how that would look.
If anyone has any picture examples that would be great.

zipties or wire ties work great, but they work best when the rack is solid and the cables are still basically out of site.

If you want a really good looking open rack then you need to measure exact length and get something like the bluejeans cables with "techflex"

Zipties are more for a permanent wiring. I find them annoying to cut off, you have to be careful to not cut your wires. Some people use small lengths of velcro wire ties. It works nice and is easy to remove. I ended up using techflex, a braided split tube wraparound. Get a larger size than you need to avoid having to run multiple sections. I got mine from Wirecare.com.

From the same company Jack recommended but a different product. I bought the Rip Tie E-Cinch, basically a Velcro loop with a metal grommet on one end so you can mount it. I haven't used them yet because I'm waiting for my custom cabinet to be finished, but look like they should work well. One tip, buy longer than you think you need because by the time you loop the Velcro back onto itself it isn't as big of a loop as you would think. I bought the 5" and 7" and wish I would have bought 7" and 10". If you combined these with the product Jack recommended you would have a clean setup.

If you really want a rack to look nice, try Planet Waves stuff. Custom cut to length DIY. It made my rack look better than it ever has.
