No I completely agree. I auditioned the Watt Puppies here at Music Lovers SF and they were very disappointing price/performance ratio. I much perferred however the Paradigm Signatures they had lined up

I was also impressed with the Signatures and I listened to them at Music Lovers also I was even more impressed with the Joseph Audios. I wasn't disappointed with the Puppies, but they are way over hyped and price vs what they can do just isn't justified IMO.

My speakers are +/-1.5dB over their range

Their speakers have worse measured performance than my Vandersteen 2Ce towers that have a suggested retail of $1200. The Wilson speakers look kinda cool, just not $20,000+ cool. Huge waste of money.

In SF I had a chance to listen to them (I think it was 2003??) Watt/Poopy didn't impress me. They are ridiculously expensive but I guess there are a lot of people with more money than common sense.
Now - in all fairness the frequency response says only part of the story for a speaker BUT at the price the Wilson sell they should be flat like the NHT XD 2.2
