Well I just got a new TV and pictrue is a bit grainy......:(

For my digital cable from the connectors that the cable co. put in I have 50' of RG-59 coax running to my reciever box. Will changing that to RG-6 give me any visual difference.:confused:

Also..... will upgrading to a HD reciever (with the HD cable interconnection) yeald me with any better picture????

Can't comment on the cable change, don't know.
But if you have digital cable and are still using a standard def box, yes upgrade to the HD reciever and use the componet cable hook ups (or HDMI if it has it, mine didn't). Made a world of differance when I switched.

I would change it to RG6.
We were having different problems with my satellite system, all seemingly unrelated.
To make a long story short.

The satellite tech / installer asked was if I had any RG59 or splitters in the system?
I didn't think I did, but we checked anyway.

I inadvertently left a 4' piece of RG59 and a splitter that wasn't tested to 2300MHz, going from my power conditioner to my satellite box.
He changed them both to RG6 and a satellite grade splitter.
Any, and all problems instantly went away; and that was over two years ago.
I asked why such a short piece of RG59 would make a difference?
I also mentioned that a metal coat hanger could pass a 2300MKz signal.
His reply was, "If it was 'only', just about bandwidth they would all use coat hangers, instead of Quad Shield RG6. Coat hangers are a lot cheaper."
