I recently modified my Sega Genesis system to output S-Video. It's a nice upgrade over composite. However the tv I wanted to use the system on is missing an S-Video input. The tv does have a VGA input though. Would it be possible to hook my Sega Genesis up through the S-Video into the VGA on my tv using one of these?:

It won`t let me post links so replace the %%%%%% signs with a www .

I've phoned up a few stores asking about this and they all keep telling me to get an adaptor to downgrade it to composite. I hope you guys can be more helpful. :)

It's only a couple bucks so I guess you can give it a shot. I've never tried converting S-Video to VGA though, so I have no idea how that works.
