Use this speaker wire to run from receiver inside house, through to outside.

Then use this speaker wire to connect out of volume control to outdoor speakers?

Or do I have to match the gauges 16-16 or 14-14? Could I just use the 16 AWG 4C Carol Architectural Speaker Cable for the whole job? Just looking for the easiest solution. Run won't be over 50 feet total.
Thanks!

It would work. You don't have to match the gauges I guess, but I am not sure why you wouldn't:confused: I would use the same gauge. I use 16 gauge for a not so long run outside and it works fine.

Also, you should use something rated for outdoor use, I am not sure if that stuff you listed is.

Firstly, make sure the wire has a uv rating.

Secondly, there is 50' interior run limit with this type of cabling.

Finally, and most importantly, be careful when running wire "from receiver inside the house...to outside". Bad things can happen. The most typical fix is to terminate your outdoor cable at your demarc (lightning surge suppressor). Simply running wire through the yard, over the chain link fence and then indoors to your receiver can easily make things fizzle. Be careful.
