I have a pair of Mission 760i and I'm looking for a compact amp to connect them to my PC. Does the SMSL Q5 Pro have enough power to run my speakers?
Speaker specs are:
Enclosure Type: 2 way bass reflex
Drivers: 1 x 130mm bass/midrange | 1 x 19mm dome tweeter
Frequency response: 70Hz to 20kHz ±2.5dB
Nominal Impedance: 6 Ohms
Sensitivity: 89dB
Recommended amplifier: 25 to 75 watts
The amp claims maximum output power: 45W +45W(4 Ohm), 25W +25W(8 Ohm), but I know sometimes those are exaggerated... Can anyone reassure me that it'll work lol?
Also--In addition to the Q5 I'm looking at the SMSL SA-60, the only thing deterring me from that one is the fact that there is no visual indication of the volume level. I want to avoid forgetting how loud it is and then blasting my ears out lmao. However, (after shipping etc) the SA-60 is half the price of the Q5. Out of curiosity, which of the two would you buy? Do you think it's worth paying double for the convenience of being able to see how loud it is?
