Will Polk Lsi's work with Yamaha RX-V2400?

I have a Yamaha RX-V2400 and am thinking about going with Polk LSi speakers since I can get them at 65% off list price. The Lsi's are 4 ohm and I'm wondering if my receiver will be able to handle them.

Any thoughts?

Will these be with more speakers, or JUST the Lsi's?

If its just the Lsi's you should be fine. Some people say yamaha receivers are bright, but if they were, it would show up on a graph.

Plus, receivers have tone controls for a reason.

Hope this helps,

I'm think LSi/15 for the fronts, LSiC center and LSiFX for surrounds.

I'm leaning toward an SVS sub but haven't decided which one yet.

OK, for that you will need extra amplification. Even the RTi's need an amp when used in a set.

Running all the speakers as small can help take a load off on the 2400, but an amp will give you better fidelity in the higher SPL region. A nice 2 channel amp for the fronts, or 3 channel for the center aswell should do the trick.

Thanks!

Do you have any amp recommendations. My room is roughly 3400 cubic feet if that makes a difference.
