The inital information on the Sherwood R-972 receiver looks great.
For example:
My front speakers are bi-amped. This simple fact results in lots of cables. Two cables from the pre-amp to -10 to +4 transformer. 2 cables from the transformer to the digital balanced crossover. 4 cables from the crossover to the QSC balanced ampliers. Thus we have 8 cables driving 2 JBL 4350 speakers. If and when hopefully Outlaw makes a preamp with the R-972 features the result would be 4 less cables. This would reduce lots of problems such as hum, no transformer unit, no digital outboard crossover.
Does anybody know if Sherwood is going to have a balanced pre-amp version of the R-972 ?
Does anybody know if Outlaw is thinking about upgrading to the capabilities of the new Sherwood unit.
Thanks for your inputs.
