Will Onkyo HT-S5400 speakers work with Onkyo S9400thx

I recently had the option of replacing my current HT-S5400 receiver with either a full HT-S5600 system or just the receiver HT-S9400thx.

Obviously I like the THX certification and HDMI upscaling, but will my current HT-S5400 speakers be damaged by the 9400 receiver?

As long as the speakers don't have proprietary connectors, you can use them with whatever you like. IMHO, the weak point in basically all of the Onkyo packages are the speakers, so I wouldn't call them a desirable package to hunt down.

THX cert doesn't buy you a whole lot in a HTIB package.
