will I be underpowered?

Hello,

I recently bought a 15-year-old VMPS Original passive sub with a dual voice coil 12 inch driver and 15-inch passive radiator. I understand that the dual voice coil enables me to use both amplifier channels of my Adcom GFA-535 II amp. I seem to have ample power for my needs. However, I have ordered the updated 12-inch woven carbon fiber Megawoofer, which only comes in a single voice coil version. I take it that means only one channel of the Adcom will be powering the sub, which cuts my power in half. I think my wife will kill me if after spending close to $200 on a new Megawoofer and passive radiator, I tell her I need a more powerful amp. The Adcom is rated at 60 wpc, with three decibels dynamic headroom, and the passive sub has an efficiency of at least 92 dB/1 watt/one meter with the Megawoofer. But my room is 14 by 24. I am not trying to achieve ear-bleeding loudness. Thanks for any suggestions.

You stated that you've recently purchased the sub, and just ordered the woofer. What difference do the calculations make after you've already made your selections? Replace the woofer, run the sub, and if you're short, you'll need another amp. Or is there another reason that you're asking for input now? Cheers.

clarification

I guess I was hoping to hear that there was a way to get the full output of both channels of the amp into that new driver, or an inexpensive modification that would bridge the amp to mono. Thanks.
