Will a diplexer solve this issue for CATV?

Can I use a diplexer?
My TV only has one DTV input on it. I have cable TV without a box and an antenna which can both send Digital Signal. Since I have only one input I need to find a way (preferably without a switch box) to get the two signals into the DTV input on my TV. If I combine them using a standard splitter, the signals from the two cancel eachother out. Do you think a diplexer will help?

I saw this http://www.calrad.com/calrad/cat-58page4.html - not sure if these take care of the issue.

Some more information if it helps -
My provider is Comcast in L.A. and I get digital when my TV is set for HRC Cable.
My OTA is hooked up to the VHF on my apartment buildings common antenna.
