New Wii won't work with existing Yamaha surround sound receiver. I have plugged in the red, white, and yellow plugs into the back and set the mode/input to the correct one...V-Aux. Help!

You may need to check your setup for that input. Are you getting anything? Audio only? Video only?

Most receivers allow you to remap audio and video inputs so you can associate a TOSLINK with any channel and possibly composite. You may want to check that your V-Aux channel is configured for analog audio and composite video.

If that doesn't work, try another input.

I haven't set up a Wii yet but I will soon. I got my girlfriend a Wii for Christmas. I don't know if there is anything weird in the Wii part of the setup but I would expect the A/V connection to just work.

I was having the same issue, I could get sound but no video. Finally, I was able to connect my wii by connecting the audio cables to the front av inputs on the Yamaha receiver and then had to connect the video cable to the front av input on my tv. I hope this helps!
