Hi,
I have a simple Question: Why we need 5.1 or 7.1 or more channels for reproduce a sound source?
Exept some big instruments like organs or so each sound source is a mono source, at least regarding from certain distance. The source include a directive effect, but in no way a spatial soundfield.
Why we need more as one channel for reproduce such point source?
