Welcome aboard Jeff (I'm not the official greeter).....Yes on all counts, as you get to know this site (I recommend you read all the articles) cables on most parts are overpriced, you pay for: marketing hype, pretty packaging, keeping some CEO in Dom and caviar, eye candy (pretty cables). BlueJeans is well liked around these parts for a couple of reasons: you get what you pay for, excellent service, high quality cables, no snakeoil hype.
What every red blooded A/V nut here will tell you is simple: any well built cable is good enough, you don't need to spend a third world country's GNP to get excellent quality. Places to look: Blujeans Cables, Monoprice, Westlake Electronics, and anyone who advertises here, they're all reputable.
