Why Is there No Love For Wharfedale In America?

Hello. I was recently searching for reviews of the new Wharfedale Evo4 Series speakers from professional audiophiles in America on YouTube and to my surprise there aren't any. Not a single video from anyone that would recommend Wharfedale speakers for home theater. Not even from normal home theater enthusiasts. YouTube has so many videos of people showcasing their home theater setups with speakers from brands like klipsch, SVS, Polk Audio, B&W and others but none from Wharfedale. I know that it's a UK company but they're available on Amazon and Crutchfield. They're also very affordable. Do they sound so terrible that nobody considers buying them for home theater in America?

That is Wharfedale's fault, not the American audio press. They just don't do a very good job of gaining exposure for their products. The brands that you mentioned all do a great job in marketing. Much of the coverage that Wharfedale get is from the volition of audio press rather than from actions taken by whoever their marketing people are. In my experience, Wharfedale has made decent speakers and also some flawed speakers.

In years past I don't remember them being in any store I visited (but that's been a while too). Nice that they are available via internet. If I didn't already have too many speakers I might be tempted to try as they do generally seem to be liked. Always figured it more a UK thing....
