I have a problem I came across recently in regards to sound not working on certain dvds. I recently bought cheers season 2 and looney tones gold edition vol. 2. When I play these discs on my roommate's (off brand cheap $40 player)dvd the sound does not work. Nor does the sound work on my girlfriend's roommates' dvd player (samsung (V5500). Both discs work on my girlfriends dvd (samsung p421) and my xbox or playstation 2. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I don't understand why the sound is the only thing that does not work on the discs. (I did return the discs too and got news ones but still no luck). Are the discs to blame or I'm I missing something really simple on the dvd players and this is a stupid question? If anyone could help me that would be great so I know for future player purchases what to look for. Thanks
