My friends and I have been arguing about frontmen or women in bands. I would like some outside opinions.

My list:

1. Bono...U2 (he's been up for the Noble peace prize for &%$# sake)
2. Scott Weiland... Stone Temple Pilots
3. Chris Cornell...Audioslave
4. Freddy Mercury...Queen
5. Robert Plant...Led Zeplin

The rest for me...

6. Mick Jagger...Rolling Stones
7. Roger Daltrey...The Who

#10. Kurt Cobain - Nirvana. When he sang about being depressed, he meant it.
#9. Lionel Ritchie - The Commodores. Seriously, how many 15 year old girls got groped at a high school dance because of this guy.
#8. Philip Bailey - Earth, Wind and Fire. Awesome voice, tragic solo career.
#7. John Belushi - The Blues Brothers. Yes, it was a real band.
#6. David Lee Roth - Van Halen. At least he kept things interesting.
#5. Axl Rose - Guns N' Roses. The hot chicks this guy's had, a guy can only dream.
#4. Sully Erna - Godsmack. This guys got talent.
#3. Geddy Lee - Rush. Defined a generation of rock and roll.
#2. Ted Nugent - The Amboy Dukes. Genius? Insane? He defines that fine line.
#1. Ozzy Osborne - Black Sabbath. Clearly crossed that line that Nugent defined. Insane...completely.

Honorable mention - Brad Delp. You know him...who the hell is he.

Oh, and Bono didn't get nominated for a Nobel Prize for his singing...more for trotting around the world using his celebrity to espouse causes the poverty-loving, wealth-hating, world government types like to promote.

Great picks!!!What about Sting? No small part of the second British invasion. Do you think he rates?

Just my .02, but how about Geoff Tate of Queensryche? Now that guy has got some range.

And just for the record, I'm throwing him in there WITH all of the above mentioned frontmen. Great choices guys!

What if you had to revise your picks to answer the question "in the game" some of these guys no longer tour or at least dont tour as frontmen for those respective bands,so if you had to pick from a frontman or two that still tour and perform?

This has to be a joke. Bono is the world's largest self absorbed "humanitarian" of all time. The South Park episode was surprisingly spot on for once.

Besides everyone knows the best front man of all time is God, from the band "The Entire Universe".....Or Steve Perry from Journey.....

The Police were alright, never cared for Sting at all. U2 was pretty good....once, got no use for Bono. Kind of like how the world would have been better off if Wham! just disappeared without giving us George Michael.;)

Heck, we could have gotten away without George Michael. Let Madonna cover "Gotta Have Faith". She could have put it on her Like a Virgin album...perfect fit. For that matter, I Want Your Sex could have been covered by Sammy Hagar.

"I WANT YOUR SEX.......WA-O-WA-O-WA-OOOH"

I think Journey is great, but wasn't Steve replaced? I heard the other guy and he sounds good. It's a given that Steve is the original, but he was replaced.

Bono is great on stage, and they have stayed together.

The best front men period..

1. David Lee Roth
2. Steven Tyler
3. David Bowie
4. Robert Plant

These guys are not in order. It would take me way to long to figure out the order. If you haven't seen these guys live then your life basically is not complete.
