Without flaming me please, anyone have any advice for what I might need in a whole house system? We listen mostly to MP3s (I know, I know...but that's the reality), SOME TV and very few CDs. I have an old turntable which might be put back in rotation (no pun intended) but mostly I need info on the best speakers for whole house sound. Not that interested in surround sound, etc. for the TV, just what will make my playlists sound decent.

We're building a new house and I'd like to plumb everything properly. Also, we are currently living in a condo while the new house is under construction and while this place has whole house sound (with Channel Vision's ABus system), the speakers sound flat, WAY too bassy and generally crappier than regular speakers.

Any advice, short of making fun of me for asking such silly questions, would be greatly appreciated.

I use a variety of Polk speaker for my distributed audio. RS6s for single speaker stereo and higher end TC60i's for stereo pairs that work well for music as well as TV/Movies. They are offset to give better imaging.
